Booth space for the 2021 Chicago National is sold out.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE 2022 NATIONAL
The National has
sold out of booth space for the last several years. The 2020
National (which was later moved to 2021) was completely sold out before we left
Chicago in 2019. To clarify the process by which booths are selected, we are
providing this information to all current and past dealers and to those
individuals who have requested booth space previously.
Booths for the next National are selected at the Booth Selection Lottery held Friday-Sunday during each National. Dealers who have registered and exhibited at a National (under their own name and not as a secondary designate) receive a Priority Point for every National they have done. At the Lottery, the first group to select are those people who have exhibited at the most previous Nationals and therefore have the highest Priority. At the 2021 event in Chicago, the highest Priority will be 41 and those dealers will be permitted to select booth space first. The selection process continues moving down in Priority until all Priorities have selected space or until all booth space has been selected. If space is still available, dealers with no previous Priority are permitted to select booths. A deposit of at least 50% of the cost of the space selected must be paid before a space is selected.
If an exhibitor wishes to exhibit at the next National, but does not plan to be present at the Booth Selection Lottery to select space, the exhibitor may complete a “Notice of Intent to Exhibit” form prior to the Lottery and return it to the National Office by the specified date. Completing this form and including a 50% deposit indicates a desire to exhibit at the upcoming event. Exhibitors who cannot attend the lottery and have completed the Notice to Intent form and paid their 50% deposit will have a booth selected for them by the NSCC when their priority is called during the Lottery.
If all space is sold during the Lottery, a waiting list is established. Booths which become available during the year are filled from the Waiting List. We urge anyone looking to exhibit at the 2022 National to complete the Notice of Intent form and return it to the National Office by the date specified on the form.
NOTE TO 2021 EXHIBITORS: Your 2021 National Booth Space should be paid in full at this time. Invoices were recently sent to those exhibitors who still had outstanding balances. If these outstanding balances are not paid by June 11, 2021, booth space will be forfeited without refund and the space will be assigned using our lengthy waiting list.

Illinois Sales Tax Information
The NSCC Board of Directors thanks all our dealers for helping to make the National a tremendous success. Because of your participation, the event has grown dramatically over the last several years. Recently, a trend has developed which impacts the continuing success of the National. On Sunday many exhibitors have violated the section of the booth agreement regarding dismantling booths and moving out during show hours on Sunday or before. As a result, attendees have objected and complained that they have not been able to experience a full show despite paying a full admission fee on Sunday. Dealers who have chosen to remain set up until show closing are impacted as well.
Going forward, exhibitors whose booths are not open for business at 3PM on Sunday of the National will lose 5 priority points. They will then have to select their booth with the new priority group. Ex: If you are a Priority 25, but are not set up on Sunday, August 2 at 3PM in 2020, you will be allowed to select booth space for the 2022 Cleveland National with the Priority 20 group . This will be for one year only unless a similar infraction occurs the following year.
The contract that exhibitors sign to participate as an exhibitor at the National Sports Collectors Convention includes the following clause:

ALL EXHIBITS MUST BE FULLY SET-UP BY SHOW OPENING, AND ALL EXHIBITS MUST BE OPEN FOR BUSINESS DURING ALL SHOW HOURS, NO DISMANTLING OR PACKING MAY BE STARTED BEFORE THE SHOW CLOSING ON SUNDAY. COOPERATION ON THIS POINT FROM ALL EXHIBITORS IS REQUIRED. ANY SPACE NOT OCCUPIED BY THURSDAY, JULY 30, 2020 BY 10:00 AM WILL CAUSE THE EXHIBITOR TO BE IN DEFAULT OF THIS CONTRACT. NOTE: TIMES AND DATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
